Broken Transmission Pole Has Caused Power Outages in Union County

Union County, Ore – UPDATE**

As of 9:30 a.m., power has been restored to the majority of members affected by this morning’s outage.  Less than 10 members remain without power, down from more than 3,000. OTEC crews continue repairs on the broken transmission pole, the cause of which is still under investigation.

At 6:45 a.m. power outages were reported across Union County affecting more than 3,000 members. The cause of the outage has been determined to be a broken transmission pole next to I-84. Crews are working to isolate the damage and restore power. We will continue to provide further updates.
