Idaho State Police is investigating a crash that occurred at 1:01 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at eastbound State Highway 44 at milepost 7, in Canyon County.
The driver of a 2015 Nissan Altima was stopped on State Highway 44 to turn onto Eel Lane. The Nissan was struck from behind by a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer. The Nissan was pushed into the oncoming traffic lane on State Highway 44. The Nissan was then struck head on by a 2011 Honda Pilot.
The Nissan was occupied by a 24-year-old female from Boise, Idaho. The Mercury was occupied by a 57-year-old female driver from Nampa, Idaho, and a 62-year-old male from Nampa, Idaho. The Honda Pilot was occupied by a 52-year-old female from Nampa, Idaho. All drivers and passengers were transported by ground ambulance to local hospitals.
Traffic on State Highway 44 was blocked for approximately two and a half hours.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
