EOU Football Announces Fifth Group of 2023 Signings

La Grande, Ore. – (Release from Eastern Oregon University Athletics) Eastern Oregon University Football has announced the fifth group of signings for the 2023 recruiting class.

“We are excited to welcome the six newest members of the EOU football program,” Head Coach Tim Camp said. “I’d like to thank our coaching staff and all those involved in putting together this signing class as we prepare for our 2023 season. We’re excited for the future of EOU football.”

The fifth group of signees includes three skill players, one big, and one combo.

“Our coaches did a really good job showing what we have to offer here at EOU,” Camp said. “I think there is a lot of trust with these new signees and with us, we are putting together a really good class and I’m excited about it.”

Listed below is the fifth wave of players that have signed with Eastern Oregon Football out of the 2023 recruiting class. 

Ben Yundt
Mountain View High School, OR    –    Combo    –    FILM
Coaches comments: ” Ben is an explosive athlete and a weight room workhorse. He has electric speed on the field and is an overall great person that will be a huge addition to the team and community.”

Isaac Peters
Sheldon High School, OR    –    Skill    –    FILM
Coaches comments: ” Isaac is a pure football player, he loves the game and was dangerous on both sides of the ball for Sheldon HS. He will be a great addition to the team, and Eastern Oregon community.”

Reese Williams
Middleton High School, ID    –    Big    –    FILM
Coaches comments: ” Reese plays the game relentlessly. He has a non-stop motor. Reese’s violence and mentality will be a great addition to our defensive line.”

Trenton Karpstein
Bend High School, OR    –    Combo    –    FILM
Coaches comments: ” Trenton is a versatile football player capable of playing multiple positions. He will add size and athleticism to the EOU defense and he has a true passion for the game football.”

Malakai Nutter
Bend High School, OR    –    Skill    –    FILM
Coaches comments: ” Malakai is a strong and physical runner. He has great vision as a running back and the speed to gash defenses. He will be a great addition to the Mountie offense.”

Miguel Chavez
Marysville-Pilchuck High School, WA    –    Skill    –    FILM
Coaches comments: ” Miguel is no stranger to hard work. He is an excellent student, person, and football player. He is a fundamentally sound football player, and packs a surprising punch at the point of contact.”
