(AAA) – For those traveling this weekend, the average price of a gallon of gas hit another all-time high on Sunday. According to AAA, the national average price per gallon of regular gasoline rose to $4.61. Whereas, the average price in Oregon is $5.19. This is up from $5.14 a week ago and $3.42 at this time last year.
The national average price of diesel fell slightly to $5.52 per gallon. Though in the local market, diesel has steadily risen and now stands at an average of $5.71 per gallon.
Experts believe the increase in crude oil prices and seasonal travel are two key factors in the price increase.
