La Grande, Ore – (Release from La Grande Parks and Recreation) The City of La Grande Parks & Recreation Department announces that Morgan Lake is closed for the season and there is a new chain across the entrance road.
Due to an increase in vandalism over the last couple of years during park closure months and the installation of a new restroom building on the outside of the main park entry gate, City Parks Staff have installed stacked eco-blocks with a chain blocking the entrance to the access road to the park near Morgan Lake Road. The City also posted a no-trespassing sign at the site.
City staff ask that you please respect the park closure throughout the winter months from November 1 – April 22nd.
