New Confirmed Depredation Event; One Wolf Lethally Removed In ODFW Update

Union County – (Information from Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife) Livestock depredation confirmed on February 10, 2023, in Union County. High Valley, private land. Resulting in two dead cows, and one injured cow. Attributed to new wolves in Cathrine Creek, WMU.

Lethal removal permit update: A male wolf was trapped and lethally removed on Feb. 4 on private land in Union County. The wolf was trapped by USDA Wildlife Services, which was acting as an agent at the producer’s request, in the same pasture where wolves had previously depredated calves.
