Pendleton SD Board of Directors Recognized at Monthly Meeting

Superintendent Chris Fritsch paid tribute to the Pendleton School District Board of Directors at January’s regular board meeting.

“January is a month in which we recognize the valuable role and work that our school board plays in the lives of our students and families.  I hope you will join me in giving thanks to the seven people who lead and support our school district on behalf of our community.

I am certain that being a school board member entails more than any of these individuals bargained for when they initially ran for the board. And, of course, the pandemic has added several more layers and issues to be dealt with.  They have given us strong leadership both during successes and opportunities, through candid conversations and decision making, and a commitment to excellence for our District. All of these qualities are essential for organizations to be successful. I can assure all that the Pendleton School District has a high functioning and engaged school board.  That also isn’t always the case for school boards.

We are fortunate to have such a dedicated group of people leading our school district. I want to thank them for their leadership, their commitment to our students and our community, and their support of our mission to continually improve the education system for our students. Our district is without a doubt better because we have them on OUR team!

To our school board members Lynn Lieuallen, Beth Harrison, Julie Muller, Dale Freeman, Mason Murphy, Patrick Gregg, and Preston Eagleheart, please accept our sincere appreciation for your service to our school community!”
