La Grande, Ore – The National weather service is predicting temperatures to drop into single digits to sub-zero this week. By the middle of the week, the lows will be in the negatives in the La Grande, Meacham, Joseph, and Pendleton areas.
Wind chills are expected to reach dangerously cold levels in the negative teens and 20’s. Temperatures are expected to get slightly warmer over the weekend but should still remain sub-freezing.
The National Weather Service urges citizens to prepare and limit outdoor activities for you and your pets. Also if you must travel bring extra blankets and coats.
