The National Weather Service out of Pendleton has issued a Wind Adivsory for the cities of La Grande, Cove, Imbler, and Elgin for this weekend. Strong winds are expected to hit the area as early as 10 a.m. Saturday February 26, 2022 and could last through Sunday morning.
Winds are expected to be 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may occur. Southeast winds will be strongest through Ladd and Pyles Canyons Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
