April 20, 2022 at 9:23 a.m., members of the Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team (BENT) with assistance from the Pendleton Police Department and Oregon State Police served a search warrant at 1417 NW Despain Avenue. The residence is located within 1000 feet of Pendleton High School. Persons arrested inside the residence were:
- Lydia K. Hetterley, 37 years of age
- Jimmy Boy Humbert, 35 years of age
- Troy M. Hays, 27 years of age
Evidence associated with commercial drug trafficking and weapon offenses were located inside the residence, to include:
- 244.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- A Glock handgun
- $1,341.00
- Packaging material
- Digital scales
This case will be referred to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
The Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team (BENT), founded in 1983, is made up of Detectives from the Pendleton Police Department, Oregon State Police, Hermiston Police Department, Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Milton-Freewater Police Department, Umatilla Tribal Police Department, Boardman Police Department, Oregon National Guard (Counter Drug) and FBI. The mission of BENT is to reduce drug use and related criminal activity within Umatilla and Morrow Counties and their incorporated cities by identifying, disrupting and dismantling drug trafficking organizations (DTO’s). More specifically, to reduce substance abuse, drug related crimes (including violent person crimes), local drug production and drug trafficking into and out of Oregon through Umatilla and Morrow Counties.
